Sydney MCA - Contemporary Kids Easter School Holiday 2019, 14th April - 18th April, Age: 4+
Join us these school holidays for a sonic adventure through The National 2019: New Australian Art. Take a closer look (and listen) to the many artists in the exhibition who use sound to express their ideas. Back in the Creative Studios, MAKE SOME NOISE as you collaborate with family and friends to create experimental soundscapes and unconventional instruments.
If that’s not enough for your ear drums, stop by our pinball arcade and play with a bunch of amazing interactive pinball machines created by sound artist extraordinaire, Lucas Abela.
But wait, there is more!
On Sunday 14 & Thursday 18 April, keep an eye out for special family tours led by our Kids Committee and on Wednesday 17 April, Lucas Abela himself will talk about his art and love of experimental sound.
This program has been designed for children and their grown-ups to collaborate together. Drop in as many times as you like throughout the week with your family ticket.

About Lucas Abela
Lucas Abela’s practice began in the experimental music underground.
After a long performance career, Lucas began working on participatory sound installations that explore his idea that experimental music is more enjoyable to play than observe.
These installations are made with musical play in mind, providing users with fun hands on experiences.
