Forces: drop-in activity

Inspired by the must-see STAR WARS™ Identities: The Exhibition, join us at the Powerhouse Museum these holidays to explore the forces in our world. Which force is your favourite? How do they work?

From air resistance force to muscular force to gravitational force, complete a series of challenges using physics, technology and your ingenuity!

Create and prototype a flying creation and test it out in big wind tubes. Move magnets to draw and make your own designs at magnetic tables. Explore tension as you squeeze through our tension walls.

Our littlest visitors can explore push and pull forces as they experiment with cause and effect in a dedicated Under 5s zone.

Plus drop-in to our drawing stations underneath the planes and satellites in the Transport gallery, and be inspired to design a future piece of technology

For more information about the School holiday program, have a look at the official event here

The Wiggles Exhibition

The Wiggles Exhibition has been refreshed and features profiles of the current members and lots of new fun facts, activities and objects. Get ready to play, learn and wiggle with The Wiggles and their good friends Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus!

Adults will be as entertained as children … well, almost! While children dive into the new free-form play and interactive spaces, or are absorbed by the new child-focused displays, grown-ups can discover the amazing rise of the original Wiggles — Anthony, Greg, Murray and Jeff — as well as the formation and continued success of the new Wiggles line-up — Anthony, Emma, Lachy and Simon.

Still hugely popular after more than 25 years on screen and stage, The Wiggles continue to carefully construct their performances, songs, props and costumes around the ways young children learn and develop.
