Heya.

Little Day Out is a curated list of fun things to do for kids in Sydney. We save you time by selecting just six weekend activities we think are the best of what's on

Entertainment Quarter - Brickman Cities, 12pm - 5pm, From $14.50, Age: All

Our brand-new LEGO® brick exhibition focuses on some of the world’s greatest Cities, explores their history with LEGO and then invites you to build them into the future with millions of LEGO® bricks!

With this exhibition we’ve really pushed the envelope and built something very different that combines classic fun Brickman models with cutting edge technology.

The exhibition is powered by one of the most famous cities in the world- LEGO® City! We’ve devoted an entire wall of the exhibition to showcasing the history of LEGO® City and how it has helped children learn about vital city services as well as offering over a million LEGO® City bricks for visitors to build their own essential services

The centrepiece of the new exhibition is a 3m x 4m 1:600 scale model of Lower Manhattan, and is built entirely in white LEGO pieces so we can 3-D project stories of New York directly onto them with UHD 4K projectors. The story takes visitors from the days of the First People’s villages amongst the swamps of the river delta right up until the present day.

What will I learn about these huge models?

Each model includes a plaque with information about the real history of the City as well as behind-the-scenes stories about how we built them! The 3D story of Lower Manhattan takes visitors from the days of the First People’s villages amongst the swamps of the River Delta right up until the present day.

What sorts of activities will there be?

Every person that comes along gets to build a new version of Sydney, Dubai, London or Tokyo and what they think it will look like in the future with millions of LEGO® bricks! And if that wasn’t enough LEGO® fun, the Brickman Cities exhibition will feature for the first-time ever, a brand-new collaboration with LEGO® CITY – an entire wall devoted to showcasing the history of LEGO® CITY, with CITY Fire Stations from decades ago. This interactive master builder zone offers kids the opportunity to get hands-on with over half a million LEGO® bricks, become the heroes of LEGO® CITY and spark their creativity and build the LEGO® CITY of tomorrow.
