Roll up! Roll up! Enjoy all the fun of the circus at the NSW Rail Museum these school holidays. Enjoy daily performances and circus themed ‘make and take’ activities.

LA PETITE GRANDE
La Petite Grande is gorgeous on the outside and full of big surprises on the inside. Featuring 3 shows per day, the entertainment begins before you enter the 1920s Art Deco, mirrored façade. The whole family will laugh themselves silly as the hilarious hosts, Kiki and Pascal, create a carnival atmosphere with their quirky antics, tricks, circus, cabaret, and daredevil acts. Kiki and Pascal come to Thirlmere following appearances at the Falls Festival, Sydney Opera House, Adelaide Fringe and Glastonbury festival.

Time: 11.30am, 1.30pm & 3.00pm daily

AERIAL SHOW
Be inspired and astonished by breathtaking aerial performances on the 6m high freestanding rig.

Time: 12.00pm & 2.30pm daily

CIRCUS DROP ZONE
The Circus Drop Zone is a quirky, interactive and fun circus workshop. Try your hands, arms and legs at a bunch of circus skills under the watchful eyes of professional trainers. Includes juggling balls and clubs, diabolos, devil sticks, spinning plates, hula hoops and unicycles.

Time: 11.00am - 3.00pm daily

STEAM TRAIN RIDES
Take a 45-minute steam train ride on the Thirlmere heritage railway to Buxton and return.
Departures: 10.00am, 11.00am, 12.30pm, 2.00pm & 3.15pm

Parking: There is plenty of free street parking in Barbour Road, including designated bays for disabled parking.

Nearest Food: The NSW Rail Museum Cafe will be open during the Circus Train event. The onsite café currently operates 0am – 2pm every Saturday & Sunday serving sandwiches, wraps, pastries, salads, coffee, milkshakes and more.

Self-serve BBQ facilities are also available on a first come, first served basis. You’re welcome to pack a picnic – don’t forget a rug!
