Art Gallery of NSW - Artexpress, 10am - 5pm, Free
This year, Artexpress showcases 40 outstanding bodies of work, drawn from the 2017 cohort of 9,097 Visual Arts students from schools across the state.
The works on show include ceramics, documented forms, drawing, designed objects, graphic design, painting, photomedia, printmaking, sculpture, textiles and fibre, and time-based forms.
The Art Gallery of NSW is the principal venue for Artexpress 2018. The exhibition is a joint partnership between the NSW Education Standards Authority and NSW Department of Education in association with the Art Gallery of NSW. Preview all 2018 works here
ARTEXPRESS is an annual exhibition featuring a selection of outstanding student artworks developed for the artmaking component of the HSC examination in Visual Arts in NSW. It includes a broad range of approaches and expressive forms, including ceramics, collection of works, documented forms, drawing, graphic design, painting, photomedia, printmaking, sculpture, textiles and fibre, and time-based forms.
Inside ARTEXPRESS lets you explore artists and works back to 2005. It includes process diaries for some students and related artworks in the Gallery’s collection to consider. Take your kids and get them excited and inspired by the creativity of other students.
